Snow shots

Just thought I would share a couple of snow shots. Snow just makes ordinary things more interesting and pretty.

This one reminds me of a snow cone for some reason.

Sneak Peek for Shannon

I had my first shoot today sense being on maternity leave. Shannon was kind enough to come to me for her shoot, understanding that I have a young baby that I am still nursing on demand. She brought her adorable, shy at first, Max. We had a great shoot despite that not so nice weather. Here is your sneak peek:

P.S.
For those of you following the Christmas Countdown I am a little behind on posting. I promise to get them up soon, we are having a busy weekend!

The boys in the snow

I guess I forgot to post these...They are from last weekend. We got some Snow and the boys were DYING to play in it. It wasn't a whole lot but they sure made the best of it. Let me just add Being from California doesn't help with the whole driving in the snow thing. I felt like an idiot trying to get to the mall that day (literally 2 minutes from my house and I was still nervous) to use my Kohl's cash before it expired. Hey after all that Kohl's cash was one of the reasons I got up so early on black Friday. :)

Here is Nathaniel:
Yup he threw this at me
and yes he threw ALL of that on me right after I snapped this. Hit me in the face too. :P
So happy
And boy was he proud of himself!

Nicholas decided to make a snow angel on the concrete slab we have in the backyard:

Nathaniel was right behind him:

Nevin was too worried that the ducks and geese were "freezing cold" to enjoy himself really. He was just hanging out by the fence telling me they were going to be sick.
"poor duckies"
Notice the cotton glove on his hand. He had a hard time getting his new gloves on I ended up going out that day and getting him some snow mittens instead and he seemed to have a lot easier of a time and they matched his snowsuit too. :) I did manage to get a smile out of him.

A beautiful Sunday

Nicholas and I went out Sunday morning so I could take his pictures. We had fun goofing around, he was trying so hard not to laugh at my silly jokes. He is getting older and it really shows in his personality. I can't believe how fast time flies, I look at Nolan and remember Nicholas being just as tiny. He is my first baby and will always be just that (my baby) in my heart!

Fall is fun!

Two posts in one day, it's like Christmas came early. :-P

We have been having lots of fun with all of our falling leafs, Nathaniel has a little rake and makes himself piles and jumps in. He loves picking out all the red ones for me because he knows I love them. He wanted me to take pictures of his favorite ones, so of course I ran in grabbed my camera and took a few...

Nolan's first outdoor shoot | Cincinnati OH Newborn Photographer

Nolan had his first outdoor shoot on Monday. I had some great assistants, my boys of course! They loved carrying the basket and blankets out for me. They also pointed out a great spot with lots of leafs. Here is our little guy:

I have lots more to go through, so I am sure I will be sharing more! :)

Geese

We have a family of geese that think they own our yard. The boys have made it worse by feeding them. Some of them are pretty mean. Nathaniel and Nicholas were feeding them off the deck the other day and I snapped a few pics.

(notice the ribbon from Nicholas' Chuck-E-Cheese medal, he loves it and puts it on each morning)

After we came inside they decided to use the deck as a restroom so I spent a good hour cleaning and housing it all down. Fun times!

The yard

I have to say I just love waking up and looking out my windows. It is so beautiful and green, I am sure in the fall when all the leaves change it will be just another aspect of it's beauty. Here are some shots of the yard:
Love seeing this in the morning.

I look forward to doing shoots here.

Purple

I am not good with flowers when it comes to knowing their proper names or even if it is a flower and not a weed. These purple flowers caught my eye, I just think they are so pretty and love how many different groups and solo flowers there were. I also had to play with some texture because I just think it works for these.

Butterfly

This Butterfly must have been sick or hurt because she was just hanging out letting Nevin pick her up and walking all over him.
Photo

Yes he was out there with nothing but a shirt and undies, Don't we all wish we could run around like that on the hot summer days?

She even posed for some shots alone.

Little fishermen

The boys have a new hobby and daddy is thrilled to have them enjoy fishing as much as he does. It is actually nice and relaxing because they know to "be quiet or you'll scare the fish off" I must say they are actually quite good. Nicholas and Nathaniel that is, we won't put a hook on Nevins yet because he still loves to swing the pole around. He does love to help daddy get things out of the tackle box and touch the worms though. I was a little freaked out when Nicholas caught his first fish because it was a catfish and they sting but Chuck took care of it for him and let him know. Here are a few snaps of the boys fishing.

Poppies!

Last year I was so bummed that there were no poppies because we didn't have much rain. I went to the reserve like everyday HOPING to see a few with no luck. So needless to say I was excited to see Orange hillsides. We went out there this weekend and let the boys see them and walk through them. It was so fun to see their faces when they saw how many there were. One of my favorite pics from the day:

In every walk with Nature one receives far more than she seeks.

I went for a walk with Nathaniel and Nevin while Nicholas was in School Friday. The boys decided to stop and watch the mail man for a while. They were very amused by his BIG straw hat. Nathaniel asked if they all had to wear the same hat.
Here they are watching the mail man:

Southern CA wildfires

This week has been crazy with all of the Fires in Southern CA. So close to home that my husbands work was evacuated, and the skies were filled with smoke. One of the evacuation centers was at a near by high school. I feel so sorry for everyone who lost their homes or were injured in these fires. I hope the the remaining fires are extinguished soon.

This is what the sky looked like yesterday here:
